Winter Hat and Sock Drive!

The December Service Project

This year, it seems that the winter weather will be very cold and possibly very wet. And not everyone has the luxury of warm clothing to keep them comfortable and healthy during this time. So, this year, the CMHS Key Club will be hosting a Hat and Sock Drive for the December/Christmas Project. The items brought should be winter items! If they wouldn't keep you warm, chances are the people who truly need them warm either. So please, drop off your donations to Mr. Lerchie, Mrs. McDowell, or Mr. Bias before Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

5 pairs of winter (cotton) socks = 1 hour
2 hats = 1 hour

CMHS Homework Gang
Meets every Sunday from 2-4pm @ Broadmoor Branch Library
Need volunteer hours? Did you really excel in a class at Magnet? Then sign up to be a tutor for the Homework Gang and help out your fellow students. Just 2 hours on a Sunday.
1. Go to http://caddomagnet.net/counselors/homework-gang/ and fill out the volunteer form.
2. Sign up for the remind text group.
3. Get a teacher to fill out a recommendation form also found on the same link.
Red River Cleanup
NOVEMBER 5TH 8AM-1PM @ Stoner Boat Launch
Show your community pride by gathering along the Red River to remove trash and debris from the water and its surrounding areas! After cleaning, lunch will be provided by Rotolo's, Jason's Deli, and Buffalo Wild Wings. See you there. See Mrs. Procell in E-wing for more info and to fill out a liability form.

Jamalaya Muzik Festival

@ Caddo Magnet High School 12:30pm - 4 pm ***$10 admission
The Wall Chargers, recently signed to Castle Peak Music, will perform about 2 pm. They will be preceded and followed by teen performers from Magnet.
Students will also be vending snacks from food booths in the quad.
Proceeds are dedicated to school supplies for worthy students in the Stoner Hill neighborhood.
Performers include Kit Brown, Allison Huffty, Holly & Ethan, Johnum, Alex & Scott, special guests, the Wall Chargers, Sarah & Adam, Hunter, London & Astrid, Kiara Lafitte and New Tricks, a faculty band led by student musician Randon Ladner.
School Cleanup

Valencia Center's Back to School Bash

CMHS Key Club will help the Valencia Center put on their Back to School Bash where kids can come and play fun games and eat good food, all while receiving school supplies that we provide for them with our profits from fundraisers like the Jambalaya Muzic Festival. Come out and have a great time while serving your local community!
